Home at Last!!

We are finally back home in Las Vegas and even though I'm not thrilled about the 105 degree temperatures, it feels really good to back in our own house again. After being in a one bedroom apartment all summer, our tiny house feels luxurious. We got back on Sunday morning, after we pulled an all nighter to get here. It took us a few days to recover and get settled back into the house, but we are finally done.

We were really happy to find everything was in good condition at our house, and we were especially thrilled to see that our yard had survived!! Our grass and trees looked good and we had flowers..Yay! I was really afraid that they would die while we were gone. I especially love our pink Oleanders. I'm sure most of you don't care, but my mom, the master gardener that she is, would be proud.

Nathan started school yesterday, (his final year, yay!!!) and I'm just, ya know, bein' a mom. I actually thought a little part of me would be sad to not be teaching this year, but even though I love teaching I'm really happy to be able to stay home with Jackson. It's kind of nice to not always be frantic about getting my lesson plans done. I am also really excited to finally have some time to work out!! I just joined a new gym and met with a trainer. I'm sure Nathan is sick of hearing about it, I probably told him 5 times a day that I couldn't wait to join the gym.... sorry Nate :)

Here are some new pictures of Jackson. Grandma Crookston has been asking to see some. Enjoy!

About the enchiladas...mine didn't taste too sweet to me. I am pretty sure I used a little more chicken then it called for. I remember reading that some people thought it was a little too sweet too. I guess just cut back on the honey next time (if you make them again).
