Jackson's First Birthday

Be prepared for a picture overload! :)
We had fun celebrating Jackson's first birthday on Saturday. We kept it small and simple and invited a couple of our good friends for a little birthday lunch.
Since it was Valentines Day, I went a little crazy with the chocolate dipping.
Here is Jackson's birthday cake. My friend Kellie helped me decorate my first cake, and I think it turned out so cute...thanks to her. I chose a monkey because we called Jackson, chunky monkey for like the first 9 months of his life. Then we realized he really isn't that chunky anymore.
His birthday hat is a little silly. I couldn't buy just one, normal cone hat. So he got stuck with the Birthday Prince crown that was like 3 sizes too big. But what a cute little prince!
Yummmm...Sugar! He loved the frosting... just like his mom!
When he was full, most of the cake ended up on the floor. Just like every meal does.
The Barney's and the Deming's....They are the best!Jackson had fun opening presents. He started to get the concept of ripping the paper off.
Jackson wants to thank his grandparent's for his clothes. They're so cute!
It was a fun day! And thanks to my valentine for the cute poem and dress...I love you!!

Happy Birthday Jackson! It looks like you had a pretty fun party. I can't believe he is one. I swear I was just at your baby shower with my 2 month old baby with me. Time goes to quick. Even more with the second one. Cute cake by the way. It turned really nice.
